Death of the PoetDear poetry,
This is your challenge,
my eternal chore,
to restate the truth
like never before-
but I’m imperfect
at my very core
and hypocrisy
is what I abhor

Strings of fate,
To your hand the knife,
Spirits unrest,
Keep the barrier tight,
Blue as death,
On the walls writ in ink,
A crossroad four times,
Not as safe as you think,
On a hand,
Never wish fives,
Or lose your palm,
For next wisher's demise,
Under the flowers,
Roots made of red,
Save someone's soul,

A while ago, my friend introduced me to the Anime XXXHolic. It was a show that we both loved, and I highly suggest watching it. It's basically about human nature and is also kind-of scary. But I think the meaning behind the story is really good.
Anyway, she requested that I write a poem about the show for an Art project at school, so I did. I really liked it and It's been sitting in my files forever. Now, here it is!
